Whines

So she made it official on FB that it's a boy.

How lucky can some people get. Not trying, no intention, then boom! Pregnant and having a boy just like what her mum predicted.

I'm reading a few good eggs now, and I can totally understand the whole rollercoaster ride feel. People who have not gone thru what we did, will never ever understand the pain. It's never a case of pop and here's your baby. The more I write about this, the worse I feel.

I should just stop whining, even though I can't.

A Few Good Eggs

Because of my swollen crying eyes, we didn't make it to the TCM on Sat. We decided to go on Sun instead. Uncle Chan did say that if my period was not here by Friday, I had to go see him, by Sun, there was no sign of dear aunty. We woke up really early and left at 745, hoping to reach by 815. Imagine our shock when we reach before 810, the queue was extremely long, we ended up baking in the sun for 1.5 hours.

After someone in the queue behind me left. I decided that we shouldn't wait as well. 1.5 hours past and we were still outside, by the time it was our turn, it will probably be noon. I could die of hunger. Heck it, we left for breakfast and borders sale.

I love reading books on fertility, yeah right. Anyway, they were so cheap, on 70% off and none of them more than 10 bucks. On top of it, I was still very sore about the whole incident, I practically swept the whole store for fertility books and got these. I didn't regret, I'm done with InVitro Fertility Goddess and I found it so humorous. Was really glad I got it. I always like to read about successful cases.

Anyway, I also decided to buy a pregnancy test to test just in case. This cycle has been really long, so I thought it could be possible, even though we had been really inactive. Well, no potato, and for the record, dear friend came for the visit today. Finally. On CD37. Gosh, I really hope the cycle will shorten soon.

Today, we also finished the last episode of Primeval Season 5. I guess it's withdrawal symptoms for us now since Season 6 is only due to be out 2013. On the hind sight, CSI Season 12 started on 21 Sep 2011. Cool. Time for my favourite CSI again.

Patience wearing off

I had 2nd thoughts about attending the wedding last night. Decided to attend and I totally regretted. I came back crying all night and ended up with swollen eyes today.

Saw the toot's pretty cousin who is still pretty when pregnant. Throughout the whole dinner, I don't even want to look at her in the eye. I thought it was ok until my stupid MIL asked me, she look very good right. DUH then stupid FIL said he want 2 grandchildren. FUCK YOU PEOPLE!

I was extremely disturbed and couldn't sleep and cried through the night. You know, you are never going to get what you want. So stop harping on it and make me feel disgusted with you.

Perfectly Imperfect Home

I guess it's time to post up my pathetic floorplan!
Had a chat with one Air Con vendor this morning, and she says that my design is really silly. My air con ledge is in the living room, I had no idea what it meant, util she explained to me, the pipe for the cool air to move is going to be very long! Gosh. So far, we paid the most expensive compared to other blocks and nothing has been positive. :(

Let's do a quick run thru.
Kitchen is to the left of the entrance. It contains the common toilet as well. Unfortunately, Toilet faces the main kitchen cabinets, so it's a challenge to decide where to place my Hob. And sink seems to be facing the window, which means, Hob cannot be opposite sink. And if it's beside the sink, in a L-shape, it will face the toilet. So how to overcome this?!?!?! I suppose I can only decide which is worse.

If you notice, the kitchen looks huge, about 2.8m by 2.5m. In actual fact, it's only 1.7m by 2.5m as the rest forms part of the walkway to the toilet and service yard. And as if it's not bad enough, recently, I realised that the square diagram near the entrance of the service yard is actually a pillar! That brings down the floor area again, and I don't even have any place to put the fridge.

Service yard is actually bigger than the kitchen. This is so amusing.

Next, Living room and study room. toot purposely wanted a squarish layout, apparently, it proves to be too huge, that we have no idea how to split the room. And I suspect they sacrificed the kitchen for the huge living room! toot had this idea where we can place the dining table at the study area so that we can watch tv, and a counter with the microwave oven. I found it quite cool. Since we don't have to travel so far with the microwaved food. Well, let's see what the IDs and contractors say.

Aircon ledge in the living room is going to cost me extra money. I guess there's nothing much we can do except pray for the best. Seems like I may get visible trunking as we don't really want to have false ceilings.

MBR, is actually SMALL! In fact, the toilet eats into the MBR's space. Other layouts in the same project do not have this issue, seems like it's only our block. sob....

MBR toilet. It looks like there's no quality control on the sink they used. There's a mix of White (yay!) and Beige (Nay) Vanity sink going around. It looks like my project has got the beige one, and I really hope I'm wrong this time.

So I guess, this is our perfectly imperfect home for the next 30 years. :p

Are you here yet?

It's the 32nd day of my cycle. The last time I told uncle chan about my period getting longer, he said to visit him if my period is still not here by this friday. I really hope my cycle can stabilize soon. According to him, any period cycle below 28 days or above 37 days are not good.

1. Below 28 days - Egg has no chance to reach the womb
2. Above 37 days - Late ovulation, can't remember exactly how it affects the egg, but it has to do with the womb as well.

So, I'm hoping to keep it below 35 days. Please!

6 days!

So it's almost been a week since our HLE was approved. I requested for early collect of keys, using toot's email (so that they will disturb him :p). So our CSO called toot and asked for my travel schedule, and she mentioned that she has no idea when the keys will be given to her. Sigh.

So last week, in my delirious state, I sent a 'get a free quote' enquiry through renotalk and made one of the worse decisions. Everyone started calling toot. And it wasn't even to give a quote, it was to ask us to visit their showroom. I was really pissed, if I'm going to visit 10, 20 showrooms, why would I ask for a quote online? And I made very clear my requirements and the things that I wanted to do, I understand that it's hard to quote without knowing what I want, but my main carpentry is only the kitchen! So how hard is that?

Then we decided to visit PS on Fri evening to subject ourselves to the numerous contractors ambushing everyone there, well, perhaps it was too late, perhaps they had enough businesses, we didn't see anyone except some bangla asking if we stay here.

Then I decided to stick to what I do best, google. So I found one other contractor who had good reviews and sent an email to him, no response yet. Even the 1st contractor we met has not responded to my enquiry. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

How I wish people were more forthcoming in providing a quotation. Given our current situation, I guess anyone who can provide us with a proper quotation, we will be happy to meet them.

Fever, Sore Throat...

My fever and sore throat got really bad. The doc was right, I needed at least 2 days to recover. It's the 3rd day and I can't even drink or eat much cos it hurts the throat. I suppose this is nature's weight of helping me to lose weight after my grandma and aunties said I put on weight during Sis's wedding.

I'm just hoping that I'll recover soon. I have loads of things to do over the weekend!

I think the haze had caused me running nose, swollen eyes over the weekend and now, Fever and sore throat. Please go away soon.

On a good note, our HLE got approved today!

It's getting really near, I hope we can collect it by end sep/early oct before I leave for Dublin! *Prays*

Need to rest now!

Waiting...

This is an extremely cute cartoon and it's so me!
1. I was born in the year of the rooster.
2. I'm never a patient person. :p

Anyway, we submitted the HLE this morning! So it's the waiting game. And I just went to check the status update, guess what?

HDB's update is really fast!
Hopefully the approval is as well.

Waiting....

Finally!

I would really blame it on the inefficiency of our PO. Most people from my block received it on Monday and I only received it 1 day later!
Anyway, the documents are ready, and it took quite a frenzy to get all the info. The sad news is, I can't drop it at HDB since toot  is not going to TPY today. Well, I guess it's tomorrow then. Hopefully it gets approved soon. :p

Where are you?

I'm extremely disappointed by the service of Singpost in my area. Looks like most people have received their HLE package yesterday except us! I hope the package gets here today. :(

On another note, we are working to confirm on a contractor. That's so tough. I need a good contractor contact and no one could give me. Only manage to find 1 contractor that's not too bad but a tad expensive. In fact he charges ID prices or even more than ID. But so far, his reviews are pretty good. I'm likely to confirm him, unless I can find someone else.

HLE

Saw this updated on the website last Friday.
It's really coming soon! Hopefully we receive the package today, so we can submit all the information by this week. It takes about 2 weeks to get it approved. And hopefully another 2 to 3 weeks for key collection. Yeah!

Now that we are on the final stretch of the lap, we have been meeting contractors, actually so far, we have only met 1. I'm quite happy with him though he is really a tad ex. Probably that's for the extraordinary service he will be providing? Hope to get my contractor settled so that we can start reno in Nov and move in just in time for CNY.

Exciting times ahead!
