Deepavali

Deepavali just passed by in a flash!

The night before, toot  made dinner for me. :p Simple but filled with love.

We woke up early the next morning to head down to this tea place that I found. It was weirdly located in Upper Paya Lebar Road, hard to get there without a car yet challenging to find a proper parking lot.

I love the tea, I think the boss sourced it from London.

We ordered mainly savoury food, shepherd's pie, potato gratin, Quiche, and this mushroom soup. Love the salt and pepper shaker!

Prices for the food in the cafe are quite reasonable, the serving is really small btw.

The biggest downside, too many rules.

No kids under 9.
No Photography. - Explains the ugly photos that I took with the iphone secretly.
You can only stay for a max of 2 hours.
No laptops.
No sleeping.
Cannot speak too loudly.
They charge 20cents/min for using mains. --> I have no idea what this is?

Well, it's a good experience.

2 Years on..

2nd wedding anniversary today!
Time flies.

And because my colleagues received bouquets throughout the year, maybe that's why toot sent in a surprise!

Actually it was like 3/4 of a surprise? I kinda knew about this when I logged into his email. But I did refrain from checking the details. :p

Well, the past 2 years have been full of ups and downs. We both changed new jobs. We lost 2 angels. We got a new car. And now, we are moving in to our very own house.

Many more 2 years to come and hopefully, our lives don't get so exciting in the next few years. 平平淡淡 顺顺利利 to build a home that belong to us will be really good.

Home Sweet Home

It has been a hectic last week.
Got asked to strip to my spaghetti top in SG customs. Checked in Paris.
I lost 50euros. Don't ask me why.
Didn't get to do much in Dublin.
Back to Paris for transit. Had a day tour. Spent so much on food.
Wanted to get toot's birthday present at the airport, got sent to this pathetic terminal 2E in CDG. It has nothing!
Almost wanted to cry.
Bad experience on Airfrance.

Finally reached home, rested on Monday.
Tuesday, was my friend's jiemei at her wedding.
Rushed to HDB to collect my keys - Yes Finally!
Rushed to our new house to see see... Love it!
Rushed home to prepare for wedding dinner.

Finally today I back to work day.

I need more rest! Check in again!

It's finally here!

After 3.5 years, it's finally here. My appointment places me nicely 2 days after I'm back from and on a friend's wedding day which I have to be a jiemei. Talk about perfect timing. I might stick to the timing after all, have not decide, but at least I know, the day is here! Can't wait!

On another note, preparing my slides on a Sunday morning, not something that I want to do, but I hope this trip and my presentation and breakout session goes through successfully and smoothly. Bless me!

I'm stressed and depressed and yet I can't do anything. I just hope that my boss will give me a complete idea what he wants so that I can work on it quick. Hopefully the presentation and discussion goes well. Bless me!

One step nearer!

For the whole day, I logged in to the HDB website about 2 or 3 times and there was no update even though another Blk had their status changed.

Thinking that it's not going to happen, I left work to check onto FB and realised that our status had change afterall!

So, we are definitely 1 step nearer. I suspect I should be able to get it when I'm back from work trip. Well, I hope so.

It's a busy Q4 ahead!

Wedding, Travel to Dublin, Wedding & JieMei, toot's birthday, collect house keys, our 2nd wedding anniversary, confirm contractor, start reno, SIL's wedding, christmas, new year, move house, CNY!

Gosh, fully packed. :p

Sunday Brunch

Pardon my black almost chaota Croissant. But I love my Sunday Brunch. This week, I added milk into my egg mixture, gave me perfect scrambled eggs without over cooking it. If only I found out about this earlier!

I love having brunch with toot watching tv with our uraku box and sipping our favourite earl grey tea.

The rest of the day was housework all the way, laundry, ironing, cleaning. There goes our Sunday but we enjoyed it.
