I really want to get a food processor. Any recomendations?

I was so impressed with the Magic Bullet on 'As Seen On TV' but it's so expensive. Then I saw this in Isetan, similar for only $69, so tempted to buy it!

Bintan

We came back from a 2D1N trip to Bintan, 6 adults, 1 baby, 1 toddler.
Came back real tired from entertaining the kids, but it was quite fun. I can't imaging how a mum and dad can do it on their own. It was tough with all the luggages!

We had some time at the beach, so I played with Instagram again. :p

Cream of Mushroom

Ok, I haven't done much to this recipe except adding ground pepper which makes the soup looks professionally made. :p

I do want to share though, Heinz's Cream of Mushroom is sooo much better than any other brands. You get real chew sized mushrooms and yet, it wasn't too salty at all. The hubby loves it too. It's worth it paying a bit more for this brand.

Waldorf Salad

The first Waldorf Salad was created in New York in 1893, by Oscar Tschirky, the maître d'hôtel of the Waldorf Astoria. There was no nuts in the original recipe, and walnuts were only added later. The usual Waldorf Salad consisted of diced red skinned apples, celery, mayo and walnuts.

For this version, I used granny smith green apple, rasins, baked edmame peas from mark and spencer as well as balsamic vinaigrette instead. They were pretty much leftovers. :p

I'm really bad with the amount of serving, so feel free to judge accordingly.

Ingredients (serves 2 cos this was part of a 5 course meal!):
1 Cup Chopped Granny Smith Green Apples
1 Mini Box Sunmaid Black Raisins (Or grapes if you prefer)
1 Cup Baked Edamame Peas from M&S (Walnuts or Cashews are fine too!)
Bunch of Lettuces, Wild Rockets and salad leaves ( I got a ready pack from Cold Storage)
Green Lemon Juice (I have them readily, Lime juice will do as well)
A few Spritz of Balsamic Vinaigrette
Ground Pepper

Would you hate me if I say just mixed everything together in a mixing bowl? :p

While mixing, I spray on some of the Balsamic Vinaigrette so that it's damp but not to watery.
This is the one 1 use, 1 calorie per spray and it's really nice!

Plate onto a serving plate after everything is mixed and take your pictures!

Valentine's Day 2011 Degustation Menu

So I planned this menu specially for Valentine's day!

Shared the menu with some of my friends and no one told me abt the spelling mistakes haha.

So with the exception of the Cream of Mushroom, which I bought from Heinz (and it was really nice!), I made the rest of the items myself.
Will share them in the next few entries.

Have a good vday celebration!
